Operation Christmas Child is a ministry run by Samaritan's Purse that endeavors to provide children in developing countries with Christmas presents donated by churches and other individuals. In the weeks before Christmas, shoe boxes are filled with small toys and non-perishable candies to send to children who would not otherwise receive anything on Christmas morning.  After the children receive their shoe boxes they have the opportunity to enroll in The Greatest Journey, a twelve part Bible study course designed to guide them through what it means to faithfully follow Jesus.

West Lakewood Baptist donates shoe boxes every year to Operation Christmas Child. For more information about Operation Christmas Child, please visit their website.
